The MEDES Main Conference:

The 13th International Conference on Management of Digital EcoSystems (MEDES'21) will be held from 1 to 3 November 2021 in Hammamet, Tunisia. Its main objective is to develop and bring together a diverse community from academia, research laboratories, and industry interested in exploring the manifold challenges and issues related to web technologies and resource management of Digital Ecosystems and how current approaches and technologies can be evolved and adapted to this end. The conference seeks related original research papers, industrial papers and proposals for demonstrations, tutorials and workshops.

The conference is accompanied by satellite events, including demonstration papers, special tracks (4-5 papers), and workshops.

Workshops / Special Tracks:

Typically, workshops or Special tracks focus on multiple topics related to model and data engineering. For this edition, we would also like to encourage workshops and Special tracks focusing on practical applications of research in business/industry and on joint projects run by industry and research entities.

We do not limit the list of topics to the aforementioned and we encourage representatives of research and business to submit proposals promoting their achievements.

Proposal Submission Procedure :

Proposals should be emailed to the workshop’s co-chairs:

  • Sadok Ben Yahia, Tallinn University of Technology, Estonia: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
  • Anis Yazidi, OsloMet University, Oslo, Norway: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

The proposal should include:

  1. Workshop/Special Track title
  2. Estimated length (one day or half day)
  3. Names, affiliations, and e-mails of PC chairs
  4. Short bios of the chairs, including previous experience in organizing workshops or conferences (if applicable)
  5. A (tentative) list of PC (if possible)
  6. The main goals of the workshop/track
  7. The list of topics:
    • Preliminary CFP
    • How information about the workshop/special track will be disseminated and how papers will be solicited

We expect the organizers of accepted workshops/special tracks to organize the program committee, disseminate the call for papers, solicit submissions, conduct the reviewing process, and prepare the final program with the conference program chairs. The official language of the workshops is English.

Organizational Support :

Workshops/Special tracks will benefit from the MEDES 2021 organizational infrastructure and receive support w.r.t. registration, badges, lunches, coffee breaks, and publication of the workshop/special track proceedings.

Publication :

The conference, as well its satellite events, Proceedings will be published and indexed by the ACM Digital Library and DBLP.

Best papers from all accepted workshops/special tracks will be selected for a special issue.
