2. At around São José dos Campos city, take Tamoios (SP 99) highway exit toward Litoral Norte (North Coast) - Caraguatatuba/Ubatuba/São Sebastião cities
3. Drive about 80 kilometers (49.7 miles) until Caraguatatuba.

Driving directions from Campinas (about 2 hours and 40 minutes)

1. Take Dom Pedro I (BR 116) highway to São José dos Campos (a two-lane road)
2. Take exit 96 from Governador Carvalho Pinto (SP 70) highway
3. Take exit 1 toward Rio de Janeiro/São José dos Campos/Litoral Norte
4. Take Tamoios (SP 99) highway exit to Litoral Norte (North Coast) - Caraguatatuba/Ubatuba/São Sebastião cities
5. Drive about 80 kilometers (49.7 miles) until Caraguatatuba.

Driving directions from Rio de Janeiro (about 5 hours and 30 minutes)

1. Take the Presidente Dutra (BR 116) highway toward São Paulo/São José dos Campos cities (a two-lane road)
2. Take exit 97B from Governador Carvalho Pinto (SP 70) highway
3. At around São José dos Campos city, take Tamoios (SP 99) highway exit toward Litoral Norte (North Coast) - Caraguatatuba/Ubatuba/São Sebastião cities
4. Drive about 80 kilometers (49.7 miles) until Caraguatatuba.

By plane and bus

The International Airport of São Paulo/Guarulhos (GRU) is the most convenient way of air traveling to Caraguatatuba from abroad.
